cant relle stop thinking... though very satisfied at how orientation went... but not satistfied with myself....
was just thinking about the way that orientation went... and i cant help but feel that i haven given the year 1s the best that i could give them...
im sure that they enjoyed it alot... but i cant help but to think that i could have done alot better than that...
cant help but to think that if i had done things differently, it would have gone so much better...
cant help but to think that i should be better than this....
went to google and typed 'dhspectrum'... can see alot of people blog write that they enjoyed orientation alot... can relle see the change in their moods from day 1 to day 5... and was relle heartwarming to see that they relle enjoyed their orientation.... that kinda cheered me up... knowing this is how they feel....
was just thinking about the things i learnt during orientation...
relle relle learnt alot....
alot about planning.... alot about organising... alot about executing plans... alot about leadership...
although used up my entire holidays... gone through alot of stress... but it was all worth it right?
helping the year 1s adapt... and in the process learning so much....
im sure it was worth the sacrifice....

ORIENTATION '09 DHSPECTRUM! IS FINALLY OVER~!
relle cant express wad i am feeling now in words....
its just... woah, so relieved... to be removed of this responsibilty....
its not that i take it as a chore... in fact, i relle looked forward to it as a learning experience!
and indeed i did learn much.... its just that the sense of relieve...
u noe? like no longer needing to check ur handphone every 5 mins? no longer living in a state where u are afraid that something unexpected will happen? im sure a few of you guys noe wad im feeling right? haha....
day 1dun relle remember much... only that the intro vid was very funny XD especially the part where the security guard says 'welcome to dunman high' haha~~~
tell the truth... i wasnt relle satisfied the way day 1 turned out....
mistake no.1: nvr preamp(is that the way it is spelled?) for song singing session...
and sadly... as if bad things come in 2... it rained.... haiz.... mass games were cancelled and my mood was like.........................
day 2it was a new day filled with new hopes and expectations and lets just say that day 2 saw a great imrovement in everything! for starters.... the weather was great! relle have to thank mother nature for providing me with wonderful weather on that day!
and everything went on schedule! :D apart from that, the students were obviously more bonded and enthu about orientation... could see that from the fact that they actually ran from station to station!
was also very heartening to see that they were all very actively participating in their own concert preps...
after lunch was cool color games... wasnt relle around much so.......
but heard that everything went well so yea....
day 3the day started with cca exhibition... timing was pretty screwed....
was a pretty short day...nothing much....
day 4haha! the day started of pretty well, especially the weather! it was like... perfect! WOOTS!
movement from school to ECP was also super super fast! like we expected them to take 1 hr 30 mins? they take only 1 hr! and some of them even ran! XD
den.... 15 mins after we left... i realised some of the games stuff left in school....
we were like ' OH GOSH!' so yx, weijie, sam and i rushed backed to school, and rushed to ECP...
super tired when we got there.... but glad that we made it on time :)
can say that everything went very smoothly, and the students were obviously enjoying themselves alot... very happy at that sight... though also abit sad that cannot join them...
seeing them having so much fun... i was hoping that i could enjoy myself like that too...
after taking photos of the various classes... i went back to school in mr yeos car cos i baika ler....
went around the classes watching them prepare for concert prep.... hearing them cheer as one class, cheering together... seeing them wearing the same identities... feeling very satisfied at the way the students were bonding amongst themseslves....
when the students were dismissed... went to the audi to watch alvins band rehearse... and woah were they great! ALVIN! TUNE YOUR VOICE PROPERLY!
and thats when all hell broke loose...
heard that concert deco was screwed up.... so i went to check on it... and man was i shocked!
i was presented with a sight of a undecorated hall! didnt want to trouble anyone else... so sent everyone back...
sat down and rethought the entire decoration together....and thus....
comm saikang in school until 8+... woah was that tiring!
but still very very unfnished... so super worried....
DAY 5 CONCERT DAY!started the day with lessons... and immediately rushed to the hall to coordinate efforts to decorate for concert....
it was relle a mad rush for everything to be finished... but eventually, we did....
dun relle noe how dinner went... was running up and down... from the hall to the canteen... from the canteen to the hall....
and the excitement relle started with the begininng of concerrt! for starters... THE DECO WAS GREAT! everything went very well(for those who didnt noe about behing-the-scenes), and the students were very responsive when they were asked to do the kallang wave yea?
relle liked the lightstick performance done by the year 2 scs and the students enjoyed it too for it was then that they went wild! the band was relle great too!
cleaned up after the concert and took a sc photo.... den went to macs and tried to name the new juniors.... haha!
shall leave it at this first.... a picture speaks a thousand words... shall uploda another tiime....
